Answers to your merger questions
Your Regular Share/Savings Account
As of July 1, 2010, your current account number will be expanded to a six digit number. For example: If you have a two digit account number, you will add a 9 and three zeros in front of it. So a two digit account number such as 22 would become 900022.
Share Certificates
If you have share certificate(s), they will retain their current rate and maturity. At maturity, your certificate will be transferred to your regular Share account. However, if you choose to renew your certificate, you will have more options and terms available (see Rates and Fees).
Share Draft / Checking Account
If you have a Southeast Community Credit Union checking account, your account will be automatically converted to our free Smart Choice checking account. You can continue using your SECCU checks until they run out. Or at your convenience, you can come into the office and receive one complimentary box of River City FCU checks.
Dividends
Dividends on all RCFCU share accounts are compounded daily and paid monthly (see Rates and Fees).
ATM Card
If you have an ATM card with your SECCU savings account, you can continue to use your card until June 27, 2010. On or after June 28, you can come by the office to be issued your new RCFCU ATM card.
If you have an ATM card with your SECCU checking account, you will be reissued a Debit Card. Members will be able to choose their own PIN numbers on both the ATM and Visa Check Card (debit card).
